Meet the Team

One of the benefits of working with a team of VAs is that we can handle almost all of your needs in house.  One team, one goal, one project manager overseeing every aspect of your project.

We are a team of experts, ready to assist you with all aspects of your business administration.

When I started The Edge in 2006, I had no intention of ever adding more assistants to my business.  I figured it would just be me here at home in my office working from 9-5.  Boy was I ever wrong!

In August 2007 was up working at 2am one morning when it dawned on me that I had bitten off more work than I could chew. In working with everyone and anyone who expressed an interest, I was not only running myself ragged and taking on projects that brought me no satisfaction, but also realized that the level of service I am so well known for as starting to slide… downhill.

I didn’t get in to business on my own to provide sloppy, second-rate services to people.  I wanted to be the best! I promptly set about referring newer, smaller clients out and stopped performing services I didn’t enjoy.  My phone was still ringing daily and my inbox filling up with emails from prospective clients wanting to book consultations with me, but I stuck to my guns and referred most of these clients out and wait-listed a handful of others.

Turning clients away is my least favorite thing to do.  I know I should be happy that business is booming, but I don’t like feeling that I’m not doing all that I can to help.  I had heard of the multi-VA business model and started my research.  Early in 2008 I began adding new team members to handle some of the smaller overflow tasks that came up with my full client roster.

I brought in a graphic designer in Candice Collins — a long time friend and now a valued colleague to assist with some of the design needs of my clients.  Deirdre Shockley also came on board to assist with one of my most loathsome tasks — database design and development, as well as research and some general admin.  Ruth Martin also brings her excellent attention to detail to our team.

I now have my dream team in place and we’re ready for business!
